FEMA Electrical Work:
Beginning Monday evening at 10 PM on OCTOBER 7, 2019, FEMA working with PSEG, will have contractors reconductoring electric lines on the South side of Hampton Road from Main Street to Little Plains Road in the Village of Southampton. This work will occur five nights a week from Monday to Friday from 10PM to 6AM. The project will last 3 to 4 weeks. During the overnight period no parking will be allowed on the South side of the street in this area. Two way traffic will be maintained but may be shifted to the North to allow for a safe work zone. Construction lighting will be used , as well. The scope of work will consist of framing and pulling in new conductors using existing poles and several new poles. During this time, electric services will be transferred for the businesses along both sides of Hampton Road from Main Street to Little Plains Road.
Suffolk County Water Authority Installing New Water Main on Great Plains Road:
Suffolk County Water Authority will be replacing the water main on Great Plains Rd - work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 10/ 23. Work will be ongoing; Suffolk County Water Authority will be placing "Road closed / Local Traffic Only signs.
